Who's up for a Sandy Point to Red Eye's Dock Bar ride to catch the bikini contest on Sunday, July 8? The trip is basically twelve miles from the west side of the bay bridge to the Kent Narrows bridge and back - there will most likely be some rough water crossing the bay but this is not an incredibly long or challenging trip. There will be plenty of boat wakes and wave jumping opportunities for those who would like to do that, plus some (relatively) calmer water outside of the Kent Narrows for anyone who wants to run a grudge match. I can provide a support boat for carrying a change of clothes and any non-riders (plus emergency fuel rations), as well as one ski for a trustworthy extra rider. Band starts at 2:00, women's bikini contest starts at 5:00 followed by the men's contest (if you're into that sort of thing) and DJ. I could offer all sorts of promotions and incentives for this, but hey, bikini contest! Meet at Sandy Point State Park at 1:00PM to gather and/or launch. Info on Red Eye's:

Oh and don't forget for those of you planning on attending footwear is probably a good idea for Redeyes (although i don't think required), tie up ropes, money, and YOUR ID!!!

All are welcome, of course. Just be warned - this is a 21+ event, and they card pretty hard at Red Eye's. The best "public" ramp for out-of-towners is at Sandy Point State Park, which is right across the Bay from Red Eye's. The ramp is free to use but entrance to the park is $5 per person for Maryland residents and $6 for non-residents.

I'll be making the trip by boat (no booing please), and have plenty of room for dry clothes, wallets, shoes, etc. I'll also bring along some extra lines for tying up skis. Give me a shout if you have any questions - 410-207-9304.

Just did this trip today. We were going to ride across to the chester river but it was really rough and we were hungry so we hit up Redeyes for some pit beef. Damn good. Place was hoppin as usual. This was the first time i've used Sandy point's ramp and all i can say is wow. You can launch about 12 boats at once.
