Ran it today for about an hr is all. It didn't move one bit & it was cool to the touch after WOT for over a minute. I'll pull the D shaft tomorrow & inspect all the parts.

yes, bushing or bearings, it will keep it in place. no mounting spots on the carrier because it will be a floating girdle.. you'll see..The main idea is to keep the carrier from pulling the coupler from the thru hull support.

It's installed but not ran yet. We had bad weather last weekend so this weekend is looking good. I have a good Idea for a "carrier girdle".... It will keep the carrier from walking up or down the shaft & yet still let it spin if it binds up for some reason without tearing shit up.. This might help the bearings last longer & will definitely keep the carrier in place so the coupler won't pull off. I'll let you know this weekend how it goes.
