If they washers are gone its time to crack the cases open and clean and inspect everthing inside.

I've had a pump bolt break before and caused a ski to pull.
Check the other bolts that hold it together also.

Batteries in Florida only last @ 2 years.
I bet your battery is toast.

Get a good sealed battery from batteries +
Ive found that batterys + has quality batteries at a little bit cheaper...

I S skis really are amazing in rough waters..
You can ride all day and not feel beat up..
What ever you buy just make sure you get the max extended warranty..
If anything breaks on a I.S. ski it...

When you run it in the trailer make sure you hook it to a water hose.
No more than 2-3 min.
The carbon seal isn't being cooled unless your in the water.

Completely rebuild the s/c bearings and washers.
Then your good for the next 100hrs.
If the bearings or washers go out your looking at $2000+ in repairs.

DO NOT RIDE THEM TILL THE CHARGERS...

The thing is the washers are probably still good but that only 1/2 the possible issues.
The bearings in the s/c are probably needing a change.
My buddys rxp 215 just had the bearings go out and it...

The kit is fine to use its just way over priced..

I've never heard of a new ski with a supercharger with loose bearings.


I think your stealership had some loose bearings that :smt119needed tightening.....

I've got the 6 qt model and its great for pumping anything..

It's Detroit do you really think they left anything useable???

Not....

Ride your ski for 20-30 min and then check the oil.
It should be 1/2 way between the marks on the dip stick.

I've seen a lot of over filled skis....

Not worth modding a I S ski.

It's too heavy and too hard to work on.

If Riva recommended it then its good.
I use the Valveoline motorcycle oil but the skis that I use it in are not modded.

Turbo hondas and salt water don't mix well.
The turbo needs a lot of maintaining when used in salt water.
The Honda turbo is big $$$$ to repair or replace.
Imo get a non turbo or naturally...

I've seen a lot worse condition shafts that once they are hit with a wire wheel come out perfect.
Reuse it and save the $$$ for other seadoo upgrades!!!

Long story short is that if you want to ride your ski more than maintaining it don't buy a kaw...
If you like checking everything all the time and replacing stuff then buy a kaw..

It takes more than 1500 to make it run 80.
Without knowing what it needs to run its hard to say how much $$$ your going to spend.

I'd spend the cash and effort on a more powerful ski if instead of dumping $$$ into a vx.
