Wow. Yea, I was going to say, that wound in the rubber piping does not look like a "burst". To my eyes, it looks more like it melted.
Right. Less heat transfer to the manifold allows for cooler air to enter the engine. Was just curious if it added any performance, but if its strictly used as an insulator, it cannot be much.
