Don't be turned off to the FZR by this thread. It is a very simple fix with a new intake grate... Four bolts, simple as that. I would really hate to see someone pass up on a FZ just because of this....

Wow, I had a feeling that the factory idle mixture was rich as hell. After you update the ECU, the idle is much rougher, but it is also at a more reasonable mixture of about 13:1. At WOT around...

I think a 13/22 would be too much for his setup. I ran a 13/22 on my FZR with the exact same mods as the OP and was stuck at 7400-7500rpms. I repitched to a 13/20 and run at 7600+.

I have no idea...

I know Yamaha will let you purchase an extended warranty if your current warranty is almost up. I spoke with a Yamaha rep on the phone about it a few years ago.

Going to ship off my ECU for the R3 probably Sunday. I am also going to open the stock nozzle up to 85mm. There's a bunch of local machine shops I can get it done at.

Got the stock bung out today. It is really caked in there nice with salt, water, and what looks like sealant from the factory. Anyways, I ended up running the ski for 10min on the hose to get it...

You might want to look at Watson racing. They are a big Australian dealer of aftermarket parts. Also, companies like Riva will ship worldwide.

Got the MTX-L gauge hooked up today! Took about 3 hours, mainly because I kept having to run to the hardware store for electrical connectors (I bought the wrong size wire/ connectors twice :roll: )...

You guys might want to check eBay for that rear bumper. I've seen tons of random FZ parts for sale on there.

I ordered the non-powersport one. I'm not sure if it is the shorter or longer cable, but I have read the short one (4 feet) is long enough for the FZ.
