I did 639kph on my STX-R, the bloody 300x is only good for 120kph. God knows why I "upgraded".

Get the supercharger moved under it and it'll be the Mad Max 300x!

He did it by filling a 44 gallon drum with the "not needed" parts from his 300x. It was in the name a weight reduction.

A 300x will be fine to tow. You'll get the skier up pretty quick too ;-) The 160mm Jet pump translates all that power and torque to the water pretty well.

We're talking about jet trek and thinking about doing it. I'd love to do it.

I've done heaps of WOT runs with only 98 RON (93 MON). With 157 hours on the clock the ski just did a 30 minutes full throttle run with no issues.

What makes you think you need more than 93 though?

Probably should clarify that. I'm told the 300x feels more responsive in comparison to the 250/260.

It certainly doesn't feel like a "barge" when it's on the water.
