Was out today in choppy water, and the ginding noise was less noticeable. As soon as I hit smooth water it was right back again. The dealer told me it might be a harmonic of the hull and water...

I checked the speedometer today against a hand held gps and it was real close. Both said 69 at the same time... Then the seadoo twitched 70 but the lowrance was still 69 (no tenths on the unit).

I took it out today, and found 70 mph easily... It was less humid and had no problem hitting 8000 rpm. Cool!

Also... the dealer said this was quite a bit more difficult than earlier wear...

Alright, got that solas prop on there.

The machine would go 69-70 (on the speedometer) at 8060 when broken in.
After the damaged prop it would go 65 at 7700
After the new prop it goes 68-69 at...

The noise is between 30 and 40-45 or so, and it is quite bothersome... One thing I noticed was I could go 45, shut the machine OFF, and I didn't hear the same grinding/thumping noise on deceleration...

Allright, ordered the Solas prop for the machine today and should be on the water by friday. I will update here if it makes it seem better.
