The big news for 2010 is the old style GTX/RXT hull has been replaced by the S3 hull and is found on the following models, GTX LIMITED iS 260, GTX iS 215, GTX 155, RXT-X 260, RXT iS 260, RXT 215 and WAKE PRO 215
Introducing the new RXT-X 260
Cool features of this new ski are an all new customizable X-Steering with A.E.S. (adjustable ergonomic steering) Basically this means the grips can be adjusted in and out for more width and the angle of the finger throttle lever and brake lever can be adjusted as well. Pics shown below.
I was very impressed with the new RXT-X. Lots of cool new features and awesome styling. I personally prefer the rigid top deck of this ski(non suspension). The ski felt more natural to me and the ride was not rough despite hitting some chop real fast. The ski stays planted well and turns like it's on rails. Without all the suspension components and floating top deck 100 lbs is saved.
Acceleration is very good as is hole shot when you are in "Sport Mode"
Sport mode allows the fly by wire throttle body to open instantly when the throttle is pinned. Throttle response is very good. "Touring Mode" is a nice feature as well. When in this mode the throttle body will gradually open despite pinning the throttle all the way. Great feature for riding two up or when pulling a skier plus it will improve fuel economy.
I know everyone wants to know the top speed. Both Vladimir at PPG and myself were able to get this ski to 68.7 mph on GPS. Kevin Shaw of PWI Magazine hit 70.3 shorty after we left the dock. Kevin says he's always faster and me, but i maintain that the ski was heat soaked by the time he let Vlad and me ride it
This ski has a lot more room in it when you open the seat and the hood. This is due to not having all the suspension components on the other models. This will definitely make the ski easier to work on.
The RXT-X has a new X-Gauge which is loaded with new features for the performance enthusiast such as an lap timer, time/distance to empty, altitude, engine temperature and other performance data allowing riders to continually monitor their performance. The gauge is integrated to move in synch with the tilt steering, so that regardless of position, the rider can always view the X-Gauge at a glance.
Here's a view of the bars in their narrow position
Here's a view in the wide position
The A.E.S. Steering is only available on the RXT-X
There is 1" adjustment in/out on each side so you can make the total width of the bars 2" wider.

The Power of iCONTROL
iCONTROL Comes standard on the GTX LIMITED iS 260, GTX iS 215, GTX 155, RXT-X 260,RXT iS 260, RXT 215 and WAKE PRO 215
iControl is the world’s most advanced watercraft technology that seamlessly integrates a host of new features and benefits such as Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) and iBR to give the rider more control than ever before.
NEW Sport/Touring Mode so operators can choose between Sport for instant throttle response or Touring for progressive throttle response
On-water braking for on-demand stopping in half the distance of a conventional PWC
Start in neutral to prevent the PWC from moving on start up, especially important for
docking and manoeuvring in close quarters
Cruise control to set and maintain a constant speed
Slow Speed Mode for the ability to adjust and set idle speed from 0 to 7 mph
Learning Key that the owner can program to limit the speed and control the amount of acceleration, while also reducing fuel consumption
iControl includes a GPS-based speedometer that provides more
accurate speed-readings than other more conventional designs
iBR-on-water braking system is now found on the following models, GTX LIMITED iS 260, GTX iS 215, GTX 155, RXT-X 260, RXT iS 260, RXT
215 and WAKE PRO 215
A new feature for 2010 is iTC (Advanced Electronic Throttle Control) This feature is now standard on the following models, GTX LIMITED iS 260, GTX iS 215, GTX 155, RXT-X 260, RXT iS 260, RXT 215 and WAKE PRO 215
iTC operates electronically, with no cables, so that the throttle works
progressively, with an effortless touch. iTC offers more precise engine calibration, improves fuel economy and lowers overall operating cost.
Sport/Touring Mode: Similar to systems used in high end performance automobiles, this mode allows riders to choose one of two different throttle responses that best fits their riding style. The default setting is Touring, with Sport easily selectable using the Set Button
whenever the engine is running:
Touring - A more gentle, progressive throttle response conducive to smooth acceleration and ideal for riding with a passenger.
Sport - An instantaneous throttle response intended for more performance-oriented, 1-up riding.
Ski Mode: For consistent and repeatable runs, nothing can beat BRP’s exclusive new Ski Mode. Ski Mode provides the operator with an advanced launch control with five preselected acceleration profiles for a perfect launch every time. Ski Mode also allows the operator to select a pre-set cruise speed to maintain a constant pace for every ride. This will
make every operator an expert and improves safety by allowing the operator to focus on the water ahead while automatically maintaining the desired speed (Standard on BRP’s 2010 Sea-Doo WAKE PRO 215, optional on other Sea-Doo models with iControl).
Cruise Control: With iControl, the Sea-Doo rider can select and maintain a constant speed by pressing the Cruise Control button on the right handlebar. While in cruise mode, the rider can adjust speed up or down in 1mph (1.6 km/h) increments. As soon as the throttle is released beyond the set point, the cruise is disengaged. Cruise Control allows the rider to
focus on the riding experience while maintaining a constant speed. Cruise Control also helps minimize speed fluctuations when towing a wakeboarder or skier.
Slow Speed Mode: BRP’s iControl provides Sea-Doo riders with the ability to adjust and set idle speed from 0 to 7 mph (0 to 10 km/h) using the unique Slow Speed Mode. The Slow Speed Mode is engaged by pressing the cruise button when the watercraft is in neutral.
"NO WAKE" is displayed in the Info Centre and the rider can the use the "UP/DOWN" rocker switch on the right handle bar to adjust the idle speed in 1 mph (1.6 km/h) increments. The Slow Speed Mode makes it easier for Sea-Doo riders to navigate No Wake Zones, marinas, or other go-slow areas.
Start in Neutral: With iControl, the Sea-Doo watercraft always starts in neutral, which prevents it from moving on start up. This feature is especially important at the dock and while manoeuvring in close quarters.
