Go into every forum and they will all tell you that theirs is the best. The Ultra is a rough water beast that is sooo powerful but top speeds will only go to 73-75 after most mods, not including turbo. Yamaha has the FZR and FZS. Lighter, more nimble ski that can easily get speeds over 80 with some money invested. Better for jumping and more playful. Seadoo guys can chime in on their skis. I never had one so don't want to give my opinion. They seem to like them over there. Don't waste your money on the IS version of the doos. If you want lower grade skis well I've got nothing for ya. My buddy loves his 15f. Its fun to ride, gets good speed, and sips gas so you can ride all day.

I guess I'm a troll now lol. You guys were always great. Even though it was back up and running, it needed more work to get it back to where I wanted. The impeller and pump were knicked and scratched up good, the supercharger belt was starting to fray even though it was new and the tensioner pulley felt loose so I'm guessing the bearing were about to go from the salt water. I decided that the cost wasn't worth it so I jumped ship. After salt water ingestion, you never know how its going to work out in the long run.

What to buy
I have a 260x awesome machine.
Did more research then NASA when investigating a new PWC for myself and my goodmate.
One word of advise is to test ride them all.
In thhe end we both bought 260's.
Personally I would never buy a Seadoo due to them being the ugliest and cheapest looking ski on the market regardless of how much you spend. would not trust the fact that they have there own cooling system and not water cooled.
Rode the Yamaha SHO and FZR quite good but found they cavitated a hell of a lot.
Depending on what you are doing personally what won me is the overall look of the 260, power, storage space and great ride, stability and reliability. I have only had mine since March and have already put 65 hours on her and love it.
Only downside is that the 260 drinks but i think they all do no matter what the salesman say.
Good luck but ask plenty of questions.....

I love my ultra except when hoses pop off and flood the engine bay
