    Riva vs. R&D D-plate

What is the difference between the riva d-plate and the r&d d-plate. It is going on a 2006 GP1300R. Thanks.

R&d is for the 1200, for your 1300 get the Riva that is what i have in my 1300xlt it has a slightly larger opening.

Your wrong. The R&D plates are faster then the riva plates for the GPR's.

Ok i am going by the threads I have read most say the r&d is good for the 1200 and the Riva is good for the 1300 so you are saying the r&d is better for the 1200 and the 1300 because he has a 2006 1300gpr I have a 1300 xlt and thought all 1300 should use the Riva I have never tested it just going by the threads I have read on it.

I didn't mean to sound like a ass sorry. Some things are good from riva for the newer ski's like the d-plates, i personally like there EFI controllers over the R&D power shot. But ride plate wise old school riva plates are fast. But in testing with the GPR most people are seeing better numbers with a R&D plate. My jim's plate is R&D.

Yes for the d-plates. And if you want an awesome ride plate get a Jim's plate.
