    Needed: Coil pack. Domestic tripple

    Need a coil pack for a 1050 tripple.

    Now a 1200 engine with updated electronics and I believe the coil is heating up and losing resistance.

    Whatever you have that will work we'll be interested in.

    i have some here....

    one from a clean, running 99 SLX1050
    one from a clean, very low hour 2000 genesis carbed

    50.00 + s&h for either.

    The major difference in the 2 coils is the plug wires and how the plug wires attach to the coil.Did you use the 1050 coil and plug wires or the 1200 coil and wires. The newer wires don't have resistance or resistor boots.(cable end ,that snaps onto the plug,looks like a car plug wire)

    I have the old 1050 coil,it ran,I think it had a stator problem.

    That appears to be the old style, polaris ind site says it's replaced by 4010342 ( the newr style)you would also need to buy the plug wires.
    I can take a look tommorrow what the part number I have is ( again,I think this 1050 had a stator problem,would loose all spark when it felt like it,which was very often,I have'nt tested the coil yet in a good running ski,I can this weekend if you absolutly want it)

    I think my friend is gonna give john a call tomorrow. I think the coil from the 1200 would be fine.

    I think the coil that's on the ski is losing resistance after riding for awhile.

    And, the CDI is the only electrical part that isn't new. One of the three tests of the coil seemed low on resistance (cold). have yet to do any testing when the problem persists.
