    Nujet cross reference Seadoo

I found out why my "new" 1996 Seadoo GTX was only going 47 mph last weekend. I pulled out a Nujet Prop with this number on the side.

    1210350701

I can't find any information on this thing. I put my spare pump from my XP on it until I get my spare prop installed in the pump that the Nujet came out of.

I am sure I will see the speed I am expecting now.

I have a NuJet prop on my 97 GTX and run 52.0 on gps. Only thing done, was there when I got it. Faster than 2 96 GTX's my friends have stock. They only do 50.4. So it may not be the prop to only reach 47, it also depends on if the water is choppy or not, air temp. Hot days (90-95+) I will only reach about 50.5 maybe 51.

Have you checked your rpm at that speed? Or WOT run? Could be a wear ring too far out of spec and allowing the water to stay and not be forced through the pump.

The prop isn't in the best condition and there was also a large gap between the prop and the wear ring. My RPM was around 6800 rpms.

I am sure I will get this thing up to 53 mph since I also did a carb rejet.

You should check your clearance with a feeler gauge. No more than .040" or 1mm. You shouldn't rely on a jet kit or other add ons to make up the difference.

The pump from my XP has the proper clearances.

I just bought this ski and since I was going through the carbs anyways, I put the jet kit in. I didn't have a chance to check the pump before water testing it. As soon as I saw I was only going 47/48 mph, and my RPM's seemed good, I knew there was probably a pump problem.

I just have to find time to get it back on the water again.
