I just got my umi for my rxt. Main difference is the stock steering is a aluminium shaft in a plastic sleeve, the umi is all aluminium and steers through bearings, feels much lighter to steer, the x's use a simillar system. umi puts the bars a little lower and forward to, and looks the goods!!

Worth every penny on my RXP. It changes the whole feeling of the ski, makes steering very predictable and controlled, When you turn the bars with the UMI the ski turns, no slop or play. It gives you confidence to pull turns at alot higher speed as you feel in control more. I would get it again. R88

I like it better as well... personal pref. though. I've talked to plenty who didn't like it.
It basically raises the bars up for a better stance, IMO
