    supercharger shaft years- questions..

Is there a major difference on the S/C shaft/washer setup that I should worry about?

Looking at possibly a charger with 06 shaft setup.

yes the 08 and up motors will need an 08 and up spec sc shaft becuase of the new SC oiling system. holes on the end of the sc shaft are diff in size.

sure can housings are the same, just gota put in the 08 clutch setup. but if you have an X model you wouldnt want any 06 SC since the wheels are much smaller and produce less boost

    Thanks again.

I am looking at buying a B-kit blower that has been rebuilt, but it is an 06 charger with 06 shaft.

Not sure at this point if I should just buy a new one or buy the used one and update the parts. I need to also know if Les updated the wheels since 06, or updated anything else.

There was some talk that he might have updated the wheel due to it flexing and rubbing the housing.

hmmm, no real good/cheap way to do this unless u find a SC that has 08 spec clutch setup... taking your oe SC apart and then putting it in that bkit is deff out the question...never want to reuse bearings unless u want to put new bearings in it

I dont want to rip my blower apart either way. Do the rebuild kits come with the shaft? I couldnt tell by looking at them. Thats still 300 dollars for the oem kit which uses the ball bearing washers and oem metal washers

I would think les would have superior products in a new charger.

Its just under 2k for the new one or asking price of 1k for used 2006 that has been rebuilt.

If I decide to go with the b-kit I'll buy brand new. Peace of mind is worth the cost for me.
