What to look for in a used GP1200R/1300R
I am fairly new to all of this. I have ridden a 98 GP1200 for 4 summers that a buddy of mine would let me ride all the time, so I know the basics about the unreliable oiling system, the finiky carbs, but when it comes down to mechanics and what to exactly look for when buying a used one (signs of issues, wear and tear, abuse) I am clueless.
Any advice you all can share will a beginner, or should I just take it to a reputable shop and have them do a complete inspection? (I am in the Tampa area and looking for skis in the surrounding area).
Also, are there any years I need to worry about or stay away from? I am looking at a few right now... a 07 GP1300R w/ 50hrs, a 00 GP1200R w/ 56hs, and a 03 GP1300R with 20hrs on motor and 115hrs on hull.

of those 3 you listed, the 07 would be my choice. EFI is nice!
00- Crank snout and power valve issues
03- hulls are thin and pump shoes are known to rip out.
just my 2 cents.
All of them need a D-plate and pump tunnel renforcement.
