GP1200R's horrible gas mileage!
I know the gp1200r's are a 2 stroke engine but it seems like when i put a half tank in her she will run for not even an hour, what kind of gas mileage is everyone getting out of their gpr's?

I think I could get about 60 miles on a tankful when i had a gpr. If you are on the throttle hard (7000+ rpm) could burn thru a full tank in no time flat.

not alot, couple of hours on a tank, last year i was doing 2 full tanks on some days,i think i can remember someone on here saying that a Cayenne Turbo has better fuel consumption.

My handbook says fuel consumption on the XL1200Ltd is 70 litres in 1.1 hours at full throttle! that's 1 litre per minute and we're at £1.03 a litre here in good old Blighty! aaaaahhgg.

Carbed GPR's do not get good "mileage", especially modded ones. I always need to refill the tank before the EFI guys. Stupid technology.

gotta love 4 strokes mileage, but I love the feel of a snappy two smoke
