    Exclamation to use block guard or not??

    who is or is not using block guard and why?

    pros and cons?

    I have the head off by ski now and was gonna use it but was looking for some input first.

    I am using one. Why? I got a deal on it.

    Does it do anything? Alot of street guys run them on their turbos engines.

    30+ hours. I have ARP studs, too. And copper sprayed OEM head gasket.

    lockes the cyl bores in the block so they can't move under high RPM.

    It should help with head gasket sealing and ring sealing. Stabilizes upper part of cylinders. Under real high boost the car Honda guys are splitting cylinders.

    i doubt it. looks like they can handle pretty high rpm stock without blowing the crank out the block.
