RXP still blowing oil out catch can

I removed about a 1/2 quart of oil today, it measured about 3/4+ on the stick, took it out its still blowing but didnt fill it up this time. I checked the oil after we got in after about 20 minutes and it was barely above the top mark. Should the oil be checked warm? Should I take it down to say the 1/2 way point when its cold and add more if needed? Is something else wrong?

The motor should be fully warmed up and the ski level when checking the oil. The manual states to let it idle for at least 30 seconds when warm, then turn it off and wait 30 seconds till you pull the stick and check the level. Sounds like your still running to much oil in it

I agree. It must of been really full to still be blowing oil or there is other problem.. It will usually measure higher warm.

It better not be the rings, the damn engine has less than 20 hours on it, probably less mabye 10.

Well so far I pulled a half quart out maybe more. At least this time it didnt fill it up an puke it out all over the inside of the hull. It filled it about a 1/2 inch this time

If you get it down to 1/4 inch per tank of gas in catch can is not uncommon. I would only remove 1/2 qt at most. Let us know what it measures on dip stick once warm.

Earlier you said it was 3/4 when cold after removing oil so was probably at top of stick when warm. I am just curious where it ends up once your only seeing 1/4 inch in can.

    Good Luck!!!
