Why did it have to be cut?

Part of the install of the free flow exhaust is to cut the restrictive 180 degree rubber piece at the stock exhaust exit location. You can check out the instructions here

What pieces do you need, just the one that goes to the through hull fitting?

I need the one that I had to cut. I want to put it back to stock. I don"t like all the noise.

Just order the hose new from boats.net. Dealer list is $60.68
    F1B-U758D-02-00 Yamaha HOSE,EXHAUST 3 Price: $45.34

You'll have the new hose in a week. If you sell the free flow. Throw in the cut hose with it so the buyer doesn't have to cut theirs
    .

I put my free flow on this week. It is loud in the 3k-5k cruising range. Luckily i have a cold in one of my ears, so i only hear half of it.

    That's funny.

I don't think mine is too loud except when I go through a long 10 mph lake between mine and another all-sports lake. I did think mine was loud when I first installed it but must have gotten used to it.

I kind of like the sound because there is no doubt who is on the lake when you hear my ski.

I need to find that 255 Sea-Doo I saw one day when I was on the toon and see what he's got...

    I just don't get it...

Why spend $100+ for a piece of pipe when a $10 aluminum bend does the job just fine?

I cut the stock exhaust hose, added an aluminum bend I had laying around the shop and then installed it for a much lighter, louder and free-flowing exhaust system. Cost me really nothing, cause the parts were just take-offs laying around.

Here is my brother with the finished pipe.

Installed and ready for the water in less than an hour's time.

Nice Shop!!! Like SHOBiz said, if I had a shop, it would be easy to make one. You need some V8's in that shop though! J/K I have stopped modding my Speed3 since I got my SHO. Do you guys use any of the CPE parts on the Evo/STIs? Just curious
