help with 250x sc belt change

I read the Kawasaki tech bulletin on changing the sc belt. My questions are do I have to remove the exhaust pipe and the (4) 14mm bolts seem very hard to get to, would a normal socket reach them?

    Thanks

i removed mine because i need to replace some gaskets.... it does make things easier. i used a 14mm swivel socket and a long extension to remove the bolts on mine. make sure the swivel is tight and not loose otherwise you will slip off the head of the bolt

I just unhooked the pipe at the waterbox boot. I wouldnt want to mess with those four 14mm bolts because u will want to put new gaskets on if u break it at that point. manifold/pipe joints have been giving people issues too.

+1 on boot job. But watch how you retighten the big hose clamp. When first got the ski that one came loose, tightened it and good to go. When changed SC belt, tightened too much and snapped on first run. To the autoparts store for quick replacement and was on the water again in about an hour.
