    Seadoo 4 TEC No Start

Will not crank or start... have 2004 4 TEC Seadoo Jetboat. I just had the dealer replace the shift cable on Saturday. Monday I dropped it in the water and it ran briefly then within a second or 2 I heard a quick warning alarm buzz and it shut down. I tried to start it pushing the start button and I get nothing. I'll check the fuses and battery connections. But from there I don't know. Since the shift cable was replaced could the boat think it's in gear and won't allow it to be started?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Jeff does your jet boat have a DESS post or a key to start. If it has a DESS post is it beeping when you plug it? If no DESS post check the battery for proper voltage and the fuses to make sure they are not corroded. If you can take a reading of the starter relay for contunuity.
