    Polaris Freedom (2004) HELP ?!! plz

    Im in trouble guys and relly need your help. here's my story :

    My polaris Freedom is not running correctly . in the begining i could ski for about 30min and then it began to fail, it could not give it full trottle . when/if i do it just clicks over in the engine. allmost like rpm is limited. i can still sail with low speed with no problem at all. but when i try to fire it up it just hit a limit. i relly dont know whats wrong. i think its something with the electrical system. but i relly dont know. any of you tried this ? or mabye have and idea of whats wrong.

    i live en Denmark and there is no one supporting Polaris PWC . so i have to do it my self.. plz help me. i would be very thankful.

    Welcome to Green Hulk.
    The service manual says your Freedom has a Limiter mode (3500 rpm) and a warning light on the fuel guage.
    Does your warning light come on when the problem accurs ?

    Does the fuel guage work?
    The limiter work with the oil level and also the temp sensor. Does it run hot?

    how to control if the oil guage works? and temp sensors?

    i followed a guide on how to test the CDI. and tested it. all connections show infinety Ohms execpt the gray wire. it show between 0.4 to 4.0 Ohms . is that good or bad ? plz anyone?

    There is no test for the CDI. There are tests for the ign Stator posted online.

    I read the limiter info again. Appears it only limits for heat,the temp sensor will switch to ground at 71 degrees celcius.

    The oil sender will cause a warning light,when oil is low,100 ohms empty.

    Does the Fuel guage work at all?

    as far as i can se . here is a test for cdi on models 2000-2004 .
    yes the fuel gauge work fine.. but no limeted light showing.

    the ski is starting perfectly . and sail nice. it is like its beeing limeted. if it was the cdi , would it even be able to start or? .

    how do i test the lime. how to test the temp sensor?

    That is the stator your testing,the CDI is the square box inside the electrial box.
    The usual failure for the CDI will be a no-start.

    Using an ohm meter,check the temp sensor (I beleive it bolts to the exhaust manifold) It should show no continuity to ground until it reaches 71 deg cel.
    If it has continuity to ground cold or slightly warm,it is bad.
    An easy check of engine temp is to put your hand on top of the cylinderfor a second or two,it shouldn't burn your hand.

    If it is not the limiter,the most common reason for a missfire is the spark plugs.
    Have you replaced the plugs lately. I recommend using NGK plugs ,as it came from the factoty.

    year, i tried to change the sparkplugs. and is ngk and the one the recomand. is'nt there a way i can turn off the limiteder for testing?
