Gallon per Minute/Hour of cooling water line
I need help with this.
I'm trying to get a flow meter to go along with my water pressure meter.
I want to be able to see how much gallons per minute is going through the cooling line in the stock form so I can have baselines before optimizing the IC flow.
My problem is some of them have a max reading ike 10gpm or 30gpm.
For all of you with water bypasses, etc what would you guestimate the flow to be. Do you think the water coming out could fill 10 gallon jugs in a minute ?
I want to maximize water flow and use the psi as a safety threshold.
If you could hold a gallon jug in front of the hull and time it when it fills up while WOT, it would be great

what is the diameter at point of discharge and pressure? 30 psi with 1/2" discharge nozzle diameter is 40.9 GPM, 1/2" @ 15psi is 28.9 GPM.

It was posted before at 40psi and a 3/4 exit hole. Not sure how the IC core is but the XSpower has 3/4 connections.
40GPM doesn't seem right though. That would be .6 gallons a second. That is ALOT of water. I think Jerry has his shooting out the front of his hull. Wouldn't that launch from the hull.

I got news for ya slim. The xspower intercooler fittings don`t have an orifice of 3/4" id. Sorry, usually I don`t but I just had to.

let me know the specifics and I'll look it up or calculate it for you.
