    Need Help!! Hull damage suggestions : )

    Well I have a little gash towards the bottom of the hull, It doesnt have to look perfect. but how should i go about repairing this...

    Product suggestions and tips Please

    did it take a chunk out of the rib? or is it just a surface abrasion? i really can't tell from the pics...

    don't worry about it...spray some black and lay down some gel coat...as long as it's not delamed and cracked

    Looks like delamination to me. Are the fiberglass layers loose? I think that you have a more serious problem than just covering it with gel coat

    Good job getting a gel coat kit and ignoring TEX X. (Sorry man.) You need some fibreglass mat and resin to fix it. Make sure loose and chipped stuff is well removed. Sand the resin amd mat job and Gel. Do watch it for de-lam though as time goes on.

    Thanks crule, Really it seems all fibers are well in place.. ill make sure to give it a good sand before i start the gelcoat..

    hmmm i remember saying to lay gel coat as long as it's not delamed or cracked...maybe you should read a little more before you open your mouth....anyways...it doesn't look delamed by looking at the pictures..good luck with it...
