Stripped out part of exhaust stay... any suggestions?

I stripped out the section of p/n # 74 where bolt p/n # 75 would go. Reference diagram:

Anyone have any ideas? Could I tap it for a bigger bolt and use that? Is it even necessary? Exhaust feels really stiff already. Thanks in advance.

    Definately necessary

drill it all the way thru and use a longer bolt with a washer/nut

I've stripped the same exhaust bracket before. I just used my tap n die kit and it worked perfectly.

I used the tap n die kit to re-thread the stripped part. Took a few minutes and put the bolt back in with some thread locker and it was done.
