why can't you run different ecu's on different yr skis?
i'm just wondering what the difference is and what would happen if you dropped an 05 ecu into an 06 ski or whatever.

Besides possibly frying the ECU?? Nothing will happen. The 06+ ECU's are the ECU+MPEM. You plug in an ECU from an 04-05, then it's still going to need the MPEM and harness with sensors to work, at all.
It's very likely that with the 06+ ECU's and harness, things are pinned differently as well.. You could cause a pretty big uh-oh.
