i think the gen I is almost like the oem wheel maybe 1/2 pound of boost more. the gen II puts out 9 pounds of boost.

So do you have the Rotax Racing drop in impeller or, is it the Riva 1st Gen. impeller ? Most people here refer to Rotax Racing as "RR".

It sounds like he has the rotax wheel.

IF it's the Riva Gen1 then the only thing you will gain is a little better acceleration over stock. I also thought it had better throttle response at higher RPM.

IF it's the Rotax wheel then it's very similar to the Riva Gen2 wheel. This will net you better acceleration and 1mph top end gain.

    Nice SS Camaro BTW.

Hahah thanks Rex, thats my other baby..unlike the ski 12:1 compression on that ho for nitrous!

Thanks guys, I really thought RR was riva racing... I was wrong..

Now that I read this, i wish i had a rotax racing wheel, But im affraid its a riva GenI... I think i'll run it for a while until I have the urge to get the X charger... Any one have more specs on the Riva GenI.. I cant find them anywhere....

Also What are your guy's favorite Boost gages?!

Got an '02 Z/28 myself. Here are some dyno charts for you with the Gen1 SC wheel. Compare Column2 to Column3. Both stock motors with the 3" powerfilter, column3 has the addition of the gen1 wheel. The top choice for a boost gauge around here is the dynotune digital gauge. It's about $150 new. Sometimes used ones will pop up in the classifieds section for $100. If you get this one just be sure to pop the cover off and seal it with a small bead of silicone as they have been known to crap out from moisture.
