    Wedge installation question

I'm about to install the r&d 1 degree wedge on my ski. It looks like once that everything is installed, there will be 2 gaps between the vane and the pump nozzle due to the wedge. Can this cause cavitation? should it be sealed with silicone?

thanks for the quick responses. I've looked at skips write up. they didnt mention anything about a gap. The wedge to the vane looks like it seats up fine. The wedge to the pump nozzle is the one with the gap on it. It is small, but it looks like there will be a gap from the outline of the metal. It looks small and insignificant in the pictures, but the gap is approx 3 mm. I've checked the orientation, and it is installed with the up arrow correctly. When installed correctly, there is no gap on the vane. Ordered from R&D, it is part number 141-25001. I have a stock vane and pump. any suggestions?
