Salt water in oil...
Ok, it happened. I went waves jumping and somehow the water got past
the air filter and the protective mesh around it. I've noticed blue smoke coming out and irregular rpms. I stopped at once and paddled to the shore. Then I've got towed etc. I did pull the contaminated oil, then I did 3 more oil changes. The engine runs as usual now (on the hose), but I still
need to change plugs. My question is: How can I be sure that nothing bad happened with the pistons/head gasket/rings/valves? I am really reluctant
of going out on the ocean again until I am 100% sure.
PS. I have the bucket air mod as done by Chowski. Never had a problem

There is a 14mm bolt just under fuel rail on intake manifold. Take it off and se if water comes out of there. Then tighten to 22lbs torque. Might want to use lock tite in replacing.

Thanks, I'll do that right away. The engine runs good on hose, dead on 1000RPM.
The oil looks clear and no trace of water. Any other things I should check? Thanks for your advice again.

Yup, I did. Spark plugs too. Some water came out through that bolt hole, not much.
Thank for your advice, I didn't know about it. Oil very clean now. Should I take it on the lake for a trial?
Don't know if I've missed anything...We'll see tomorrow.Thanks again.
