SL750 nylon racing runners or fins ?

I had just bought a SL750 and it came with a couple of 2 ft long semi rounded 1/2" thick runners or fins, they are not mounted, where do they go? are they for racing only?
    thanks,

You talking about these thingies? They are called sponsons. Here is a link to the installation instructions. Install them, and you will be glad you did.

Mine look like this except mine are white, I have both pieces,

the long flat piece and the rounded long wide piece,
My 95 sl750 does not have that ridge under the edge,

Install those bad boys! It'll help with turning, porpoising, and over all better handling.

    sponsons

My Polaris did not have any sponsons that came attached, My Polaris has no holes, any idea on the location to install these?

I see a lot of pictures of different sponsons and most new sponsons mfgs. say to mount in the factory slots, Mine do not have factory slots,

    thanks,

We've got threads that cover sponson installs. Try the search feature.

Depending on how you ride, you may not want to install those sponsons you have, but maybe the type like Starflight has (stock).

just wondering if anyone has ever made sponson for their skis? Would be sweet to get a hold of some 1/8in carbon fiber and make some kind of standoff. Any ideas?

I know CF is strong, but you'd need more than 1/8" I'm sure. There's alot of force placed on spnsons.

Here is a picture of the sponsons I have, It looks like you could find a piece of teflon or nylon sheet and cut them out,
