RPMs arent the same when turning left compared to right

I found something wierd after I did the timing mod and installed a Riva ride plate and 1 degree wedge. When I ride straight, my rpms are 7750-7850. When I turn left, my rpms drop to 7600-7700. When I turn right, my rpms are 7950-8040. I have not noticed this before, however I wasnt really looking for it, I kinda noticed this by mistake. I'm baffled by this. Any ideas?

    Left 7600-7700
    Straight 7750-7850
    Right 7950-8040

BTW....riva plate and 1 degree wedge gave me another 1.6 mph.

I've never noticed that. I'll check and see what mine does. BTW, what did you use for your homemade OCMS?

Its a sensor in the stock steering setup. If you notice your nozzle doesnt turn evenly in the back so the factory put a sensor to give you a lil extra power to turn evenly

I've never encountered such a sensor and kinda call bs. It is probably due to either rotation of the impeller or maybe the way the ski "loads up" the water pressure into the intake grate or a combination of both.

the steering sensor she is talking about is the kawasaki off throttle steering assist, its designed to blip the throttle if you let off the throttle and turn the bars it helps you steer. It doesnt do anything during normal riding. My 12f does the same thing, check the hull and nozzle to see if they have anything that sticks out tht might create drag.

Right. i agree. the sensor in not the culprit here... its due to direction of prop rotation and centrifugal force of the water into the pump. turning right will give more rpm from the way the water comes into the tunnel.

just what I have thought since i've owned my ski
