    Welcome to the forum

2003-2004 Yamaha GPR has the powervalve 1300cc motor
2005-2008 Yamaha GPR has the non-powervalve 1300cc motor

2003-2004 Yamaha GPR uses the older style pump with the smalle cone and hub.
2005-2008 Yamaha GPR has the HO pump with the larger cone and hub

WFO can prolly explain some more specifics also, I think there are some timing differences too between the years above.

Thanks for the quick response. Will I notice the difference?? Of course new and improve is always better but im just going to probably do couple small upgrades just to ride no competition. So no major improvements?

Get the 05 and up it has a better pump and no powervalves to mess with just my opinion.

Same motor except for the powervalves. The 03' had the problem with the pump tunnels cracking. I think the 06' - 08' were a slight bit heavier but by like 10-20 pounds. The 06' - 07' have the re-call for the throttle cable. All had the same hull.

Thanks to everyone, all this information was very helpful. This will be my 2nd Ski, It will defiantly be a GPR for sure just not sure which year yet. Thinking save some money and get a older GPR or kick out a lil more money for a newer GPR... Thanks again...IF anyone has more to add By All means
