Just a word to say hello to all and I have appeciated all the info posted about Sea doo 2 Stroke fuel line problems and fuel gauges not working. I have these problem on my 99 GTX Ltd. with only 45 hours. It had set for three years before 2007. Had 24 hours at that time, replaced battery, plugs, fuel filter. Ran great until last week when gauge quit and engine dies at 45 MPH. ( Unsure of RPM's, wasn't paying attention).
Will try the fuel ine fixes first and see what happens

Most likely seized a piston.

Is this a carb. engine? If so I would also check the fuel filters in the carbs.

The boat is 10 years old and the fact it only has 24 hours on it isnt a good thing in fact its bad. If you havent done the fuel lines by now the engine is probably hurt bad. SeaPoo is probably right. If it quit at speed over 3/4 throttle its has damaged at least one piston. Pull the rave valves and look at the side of the pistons while turning it over by hand (plugs out). use a good flash light the side of the piston should be smooth. The plugs should be brown or black but not gray. If its gray thats piston material deposited on the plug or lumpy black if you restarted it for any length of time
