96 Hurricane 700 Bogs and dies after WOT
Now that the SLT750 is running, we took both of my skis out yesterday and today. Coming from mid to WOT, doesnt matter, going to an idle, the motor dies. This morning, I rebuilt the Keihin CDKII's and fuel pump with a genuine rebuild kit, and the problem still persists.
History: Two years ago, the ignition update kit was installed, installed all new fuel line, pulled the oil pump and installed the blockoff kit/converted to premix. Currently running 40:1 premix, is this too high? Maybe a 50:1 will make it run better?
Plugs...NGK BPR6ES gapped to 0.028", though the manual calls for a BPR7ES, I recall the standard being changed to a 6 after the ignition update install. Should I change back to a 7 plug? I wouldnt think that the hotter plug would cause this problem.
Other than that, I cant think of anything. What premix should I be using? What plug? Maybe this can shed some light on what is going on. The only thing that sucks is that adjustments to the carbs has to be internal, as they have no High Speed screw, only a low speed. Also, the jets are all stock sizes. Maybe this needs to be checked/changed too...

Nevermind, I goofed and turned the low speed screws out too much, they are set at factory now and it running like a charm!
