    1993 SL750 Exhaust

Anyone familiar with the differences between the exhaust/cooling circulation of a 1993 SL 750 and a 1994 SL750? I have a '93 that needs a new exhaust. The only one I could find was '94, along with a '94 manifold and water rail. Although the exhaust, manifold and rail fit just fine, the hoses are different. Will this work? Any insight would be appreciated.

The 94 should work, you'll just have to do some re routing with some water lines, but the 93 is more sought after because its a dry pipe I believe. If you can, just keep the 93 exhaust! If yours is broke or cracked I have an extra one. Hope this helps Mike

Thanks for your replies! And thanks for the diagrams. I tried routing according to the '94 diagram and it still chokes out. The cylinders seem wet. The '94 manifold and pipe are different and I still can't find a '93 exhaust. I tries patching mine but I don't trust it. Amazing that is cracked. ANy other suggestions? Thanks again for your responses, I appreciate it. John

The Dry Pipe was only on the 650,not the 750. You maybe having Carb problems,The new exhaust set-up shouldn't cause you any problems.

Actually Dan, the 93 750 is a dry pipe. Check out the diagram I posted.

Lakeskier, when you say cyls look wet still, do you mean water wet or fuel rich?

Are you running it on the garden hose? If so, did you turn the water on in the proper order? Engine on, then water. Water off, then engine.

You can also use a pipe from a 92 650. That would route just the same as your original. There is one on Ebay for $35 plus shipping.
