Just bought an 08 GP1300R-What to expect?

Just bought it, haven't rode it yet. Just wonder if anyone has any comparisons to the RXP. Positive and Negatives

Of course I would never do any mods to this fine machine

I had to have a back up ski!

    • Uncomfortably wide seat > the newer GPR`s are narrower than earlier years. IMHO I think it`s more comfortable
    • Slower by a couple MPH > True, not comparing apples to apples
    • Noticeably slower holeshot > can be made to be very quick with a few mods
    • Less stable > when Boarding and disembarking vessel
    • Queer visibility spout > easily blocked off or removed
2 totally different ski`s. 2 stroke VS 4 stroke etc...
ski can be modded and kept reliable. No SC failures or broken timing chains.
I really did like the GTXsc ski I had, and I really like the 08 GPR I have now.
to different animals. SD platform was more stable when stopped and moving around on the ski VS standing while stopped on the GPR but you will just retrain yourself and get to learn the GPR hull...

    Congrats and have fun!...

Damn Fizzle that's cold, did you have to make that last statement, should have saved for jammer 1. I jerked the pisser queer spout hose off on the dealership floor

That wide seat and queer visibility spout is enough to give me second thoughts, but to frigging late now, picking it up Saturday and I plan on breaking it in just like the RXP, no holds barred wide frigging open until I run out of gas, oh and oil.

Higher fuel mileage, you gotta be kidding, right

    • Slower by a couple MPH- I wish the speedometer was right 75 with glimpses of 77, I say no way my eyelids weren't peeled back yet
    • Noticeably slower holeshot-agree with that
    • Less stable-yes when stopped, but feels stable running
    • Queer visibility spout-already fixed this
