It works. Good gains. Need higher octane fuel.

    Searching will yield good results.

milling the oem is considered better by many well respected builders as its less prone to flexing like the 3 piece ones can sometimes do.

I'm curious about that statement. Has anyone ever seen an engine failure, or any damage, from flexing with 3 piece heads? It seems to be one of those internet myths that keeps being told and retold, but I've never seen any evidence of it. I've asked this question of Woody, Lowell, and WFO, and they've never seen it either. What about the inferior cooling of a 1 piece head?

Not calling you out Izzo - it was just an opportunity to bring this up.

I think it's more of an issue on triple piped skis, since they lose the exhaust manifold that ties the cylinders together.

I have to assume that most of you running the 3pc head are also using the girdle kit!?
Q: is the cooling with the 3pc that much better than the newer OEM 1300 engines with the revised head gaskets?

I think I heard someone mention that their U pipe mount broke from not being stable and flexing when using the 3 pc heads, but hey who knows...

    Now that makes sense!
