    16/19 is stock.

If your ski is stock, you will not be able to turn that prop and your performance will feel worst. Get the prop re pitch to a 13/19.

How much do you want to spend?
Also if you do a search in the 2 stroke performance section there's all kind of good info over there.

spending is not really an issue.....i live in MIchigan so winter is right around the corner.gives me something to do out in the garage with some beer.

what do you think needs to be done so i am happy with this prop.

Here's a couple of discussions. Just search for "turn 14/20". If you have an 04 or older ski then you will have the older pump (NON DYNAFLY).

Don't forget the intake grate and good luck.

where do i find an EFI controller? what does it do>?

    i have a 2001 gp1200r

    Riva Single bar intake grate
    Pump Shoe kit
    D-Plate
    Gas Power Valves
Sealed Factory Ride Plate Holes / trim tabs
    Tiny tach-not yet installed
    14/ 20 solas concorde impeller-not installed
    free flow exhaust-not installed

with all these mods i have on my ski i can pull past an 03 gp1300r untill about 35 mph and then he goes by me but not big time my speedo reads 58-60 and his is reading 64-66. (its my father in law)---Im not stoping untill i smoke him. hahaha

You will not see any benefits from purchasing an EFI controller, you would be better off with an Advent and re-jetting!

The EFI controllers are for the 03 and up GPR1300s because there fuel injected. You have a carb, so realistically its cheaper for you because all you have to do is rejet. Also think about getting a GPS. That will tell you the real speeds you are running at.

You can send you head to Jim Performance (lookup user) and have you head cut to 150 psi. If you had a R&D ride plate he could also grind it for you, adding anywhere between 1 -4 mph on glass conditions. Free flow exhaust will be louder and may reduce rpm. Number 1 goal is increase rpm.
Also you may want to look into getting aftermarket reeds. There's so much information on this site just search in the "Yamaha 2 stroke Performance section". There's alot of more information there.
Also do 1 mod at a time so you know if you gain or loss any performance so you can make the necessary adjustments to get the full potential from that modification.
