    Gay dealer--oil level

only running 7500 rpms....an inch over dipstick level its suposed to be..after 10 hour service

what a pos dealer i swear they are retarded

could this cause damage to ski? It was probley ran 3 and half hours...i knew i wasnt hitting rpms but i thought it was because of slight chop but i tested it on glass and only 7450 or 7500.

i hate to make a comment like this since i work at a seadoo dealership part-time and we take alot of time and pride in what we do with the machines... but god!! why the heck does it seem like people bring their skis to the dealer and they consistently come back with less rpms and lower speeds?!!?

Agreed i mean i dont know how hard it is to check dip stick..

Really puts a bad rep on all dealers when stuff like this happends and they dont take very much pride in there work. I bet it happends to alot of people but only the informed know it.

If they rev the motor up a couple of times then check the oil....the oil level will be lower on the stick. Have to wait awhile for the oil to return to the pan. Then they probably add more oil not realizing that they just forced oil to other places in the motor.

To quote Jerry......"It's not exactly rocket science".If they would simply put back in the same amount of oil they removed in the first place, this would never be an issue to begin with.It really speaks volumes about the training (or lack thereof) that these mechanics/technicians receive when you have to rely on your forum brethren to solve your problems.Thankfully we have this fantastic group of knowledgeable people here who are willing to help........and obcessed with watercraft, lol.

I am STILL having a running debate with a local dealer who insists that synthetic is the only oil I should be running. Does anyone have a copy of the TSB advising the use of mineral oil so I can shut this guy up?
