    Question gen 3 update polaris sl700

    With the gen3 update do you have to replace the flywheel too. should be able to use the old flywheel right? ANY ONE WITH THE ANSWER?

    If you are asking about the Ignition System Update Kit for the domestic engine, the flywheel does not need to be changed.

    The Update was designed to fit the 1996-1999 engines, and all the parts needed for the update are included in the kit.

    Thanx for the info... My motor is a twin cylinder color red says polaris on the motor...

    That would be the domestic engine.

    Not sure what 'gen 3' refers to

    Smile gen3 update

    gen3 replaces the gen2 update. thats what polaris dealer said...
