    smooth or rough surface/Impellers

I was wondering if there is any speed gain with a rough surface on your prop ? and or witch side is affected the most ??? please reply..

You may want to call Skat-trak, and speak to Glen Perry, or call Solas tech line and see what they say...

There are several dif materials and finishes on the props, mine for instance is very shiny and has swirl marks on it, and the stock porop is dull gray with smooth finish, so this is a good question!

I have always been told that the rough or brushed finish was better for acceleration and the smooth had better top end.Like Pale Rider says Glen at Skat or Dave at Impros could probably tell you the differance.

The smooth shiny finish is nothing but bling. It makes no difference either way... read the part that says "Fashion vs. Function."

I agree with CrazyA,there is probably not enough differance to even gauge.
Besides they charge extra for the polished finish so naturally they will say it is best.

Solas props prices and skat`s are still less than the cost of the stock props, which are gray, not polished...PR...

Thanks guys for your in put, I was just wondering ,i see on the new speed boat props ,that they do not have smooth surfaces any more... I was going to pull out my tweeked 15/20 by jerry and lightly beed blast the inside of the cupped edge ,i heard it will care more water that will create more push, and we all know more push is more speed on the rxp exon valdeas.

I like the impros polish. It has lines going out from the hub that go with the direction of the blade. Probably doesn't do anything but it looks like it does which is all that matters right

The pic with the 2 impellers, the one on the left has the impros polish (used to have rock damage)
The solo picks of the impeller are what it looked like with the rock damage Dave does a great job

Dave @ Impros does a damn good job with pitching and polishing the prop I sent. He knows his stuff with props!
