fizzle intercooler instillation question
Im installing Fizzles intercooler and i asked if it involved a through hull exhaust and said no but i'll need to replace the resonator box with a 'free flow' pipe (2.5" dia. x 8.5" length) at minimum. Im a little confused about that

The resonator box is the big black box that the exhaust goes into after the water box. You need to remove that and install a pipe in its place. Very simple. Use the clamps off of the resonator box for use with your pipe. To take the resonator box out you can do a couple of things.
1. Cut it with a sawzaw.
2. Remove the Throttlebody.
3. Remove the VTS.
The Fizzle bracket Bolts to the top transom bolt.
Hope this helps.

Yes most if not all have removed resanator. There are ways the res bypass can be done with local parts from the auot parts store do a search. I can be done with it in but is not easy. I actually ran my ext intercooler with the stock exhaust for quite a while. you just have to watch out for the stock exhaust hose rubbing is why I went thur hull ext.
