Noise coming from pump when running on hose...

OKay so i installed the 15/22r i had setbackmod and rebend by erik at speedfreeks... when i put it in...it shaved my wear ring apart bc it was too big...soo after it finetuned itself to the wear ring...it ran great...72.6 at 8020 with 3 bars of fuel... well yesterday i put it on the hose to flush it ant i herd this metal on metal or what seemed to sound like that.....soo i shut it off...and took the pump out...to my surprise...nothing was wrong with the pump or prop cept the wearring...just a crapload of weeds wedged in there...soo i took it out today..ran 71.8 on full fuel but still making that noise but its much lighter and quieter...mayb its just my imagination...plus aother ?..the wearring is smooth no guages in itcept there is like a step in it from where the impellar shaved it to fit in there...it runs fine...is it bad for the ski..it goes from new wear ring down a step probably 1 mm.....no cavitation of any kind.? neone got any remarks

Frankie, I think you just reaffirmed my belief that Im going to stick with my stock prop. Im running 72 at 8080 right now with the prop being untouched. Im going to send mine to Eric's this week to get that mod plus about 60-80 more rpms.

That noise is normal. I have heard it on them all.
