    What's the problem ???

I have an 08 RXP-X and I have the 8400 ecu, kanaflex front intake and ride plate holes filled. Boat has 29 hours on it.
I was running the stock 4-blade and it was running 8260 and 72.3 mph with a decent holeshot but nothing to right home about.
Today, I put a 14/19 Skat 3-blade on her and was on (66 degree) flat water (76 degrees high humidity) turning 8340-8360 and 72.1 mph.
Problem: the boat seems to accellerate faster but now all of a sudden it's cavatating out of the hole.
    Any ideas why?

    Thanking you in advance.

Could be alot of things.. have you sucked up any debris that could have damaged your wear ring? is anything wedged under your carbon seal boot? Have you checked the clearance between your prop and wear ring?

    Problem

The wear ring was in perfect codition and the 3 blade I put in was brand new.
I had no issues with cavitation before trying the 3 blade.

Your blowing that puney 14/19 out of the water. I dont think its enough prop. Also you may want to check and make sure that the rubber seal around the pump is in place and not folded or pinched.

+1 Not enough prop I would think. Not sure why you had good holeshot and not now but I would think you need more pitch. Check the things that others stated.

    Problem

I have a billet nose cone that is also brand new.
I put the 14/19 on for closed course racing because I was told it gave a much better holeshot and that's what I wanted.
As I stated originally it seems to accellerate well once I get past the initial cavitation.
Is there a way to check the carbon seal?

if you need that holeshot back, you might try a different grate as I have seen reports of the R and D to causes some cavitation on P-X and does on T-X.
Heck put the stocker back on for grins and just see, its possible the R and D grate does not match up good with 3 blade. Might not be able to feed that prop at idle. Are your running stock nozzle???
