    Compresion check.....not so good

    118 120 108

    whats needed rings? It's a 2001 gpr 1200

    The guy i bought it from said he just changed #3 do you think its possible the ring is not seated/ "broke in"

    I would run it more, my compression comes up after a rebuild when the rings seat.

    how many hours should i give it till i check it again.

    and should i take it easy on it?

    I would say give it 5 or so and see if it comes up basicly a couple tanks of gas

    The goal is to get pressure on the rings so since it has run for awhile I say ride it hard just don't stay on any RPM for long periods vary the speed.

    thanks. for the info. if not should i re-nik, and re ring just that cylinder alone, i dont want to jump to conclusions but i jut dont want to make things worse. Do you think looking in there with a boroscope will tell me anything?

    If you have a scope take a look, as for the other questions that call can not be made until you pop the head off. If you are concerned pull the head and inspect post some pics up it is an easy Job.

    It's not a good idea to reuse gaskets.

    I would run the engine for at least 10 hours.
