    Oil in motor

Never seen this before until now. 95 spx had been sitting for a year or two, not sure the length of time. But when we took the carbs off, we found oil had filled up the motor. Anybody have any clue on what would cause the motor to just fill up with oil? I have my ideas, but not sure if they are viable. Trying to save time if someone knows the right answer.
    Thanks guys.

I ran into that problem recently with a 95xp. It is usually a bad inner crank seal, or bad rotary valve seal.

A friend of mine fills his race motors with oil if he is letting them sit over a period of time or over the winter instead of fogging it. Just another thought aswell.

Shooter, ask Solie about my 720 with that same issue. cranked it over to get the oil out, ran it for a bit, smoked like a bastard, was fine after that.

Shooter, it may just be the 518 gave up between the case halves in the RV cavity area. Very common. You can fix this by removng the engine and turn it upside-down, and remove the bottom case. Clean and prep with carb cleaner, then use 1211 or HondaBond on the case halves.

No gasket sets or seals needed, unless the bull breaks one while in the china shop...

how would you determine if it was the 518 or not?

Andy you slapnut, I was in an accident this weekend with a tree and not really thinking that well.
RQ your funny with the Bull in the China place as I just destroyed a tree with my head this weekend. I'm fine but the tree went over.
These skis have been sitting for 2 or 3 years. So I am sure its got to be the seals or it just needs to be resealed like RQ said.
    Thanks for the help.
