how does the FZS achieve 500lb capacity?
how does the FZS..same hull as FSR..achieve the extra passenger capacity? Does it affect handling? I'm wondering why buy the R if the S gives me the flexibility to carry more wt for other things like fishing etc...
anyone know? They both handle the same, right ? (when i did a search , the review thread stated they ran the same and handled the same)

AFAIK it is only due to the change in the seat between the two.

I know with the honda's..the F and R have same hull dims but drastically diffent v angle..the R is more aggressive and better at turning..and it happens to rollover easier. Dimensions dont tell the whole story. Thats why i was asking...because it appears the hull charateristics of the FZR and S are the same.
So maybe the R is good for 529 also but because it's seat isn't big enough for three then it's downrated to 360?
I'm thinkin' i could get the R and it would hold a boatload of extras if i wanted to take it camping or on a trip...is my thinking right?

Nothing to do with hull or any improvements. Legal/Regulation stuff determined by the advertised rider capacity of the ski. FZS and FZR are the exact same ski just with different trim. Think RXT and GTX Limited...
