    Arrow Need Some Help

I need some help and the correct methode for testing the voltage regulator for a XP ,97. I have one lead (yellow) shorting out with the red wire of the regulator. This just not seem right for me? and this is a new regulator for the old one did the same and then i ordered this new one.

This XP keeps on blowing the EMM what can I still look for to stop it from doing this?

    Thanks
    Markus

Marcus it sounds like you have a dead short somewhere in the wiring harness. You can use a volt meter to test each wire or just trace them out by hand.

The short that I measure is on the regulator it self when disconnected from al wiring. This is a brand new regulator out the box.The one yellow wire is shorted out to the red wire that is connected to the battery for charging.
