    Rude2 + Stock ecu or Rude1 + Riva ecu ?

Im starting to think I want to join the 80mph club. Right now im stuck in high 78s with Rude1 and a stock ecu and I doubt that any fine tuning at this point is going to get me there.

    As an opinion poll-
IF I decide to go to the next level, should I go rude2 or get the riva ecu?
Both will get me over 80mph...
The riva ecu will probably pull harder throughout the entire powerband but it will be more taxing on the motor.
The rude2 wheel will be cheaper and easier on the motor...

    What do you all think?

    its not just ecu,

its ecu, retainers or riva spring kit, and rocker arm shaft bolts. and the tools necessary to replace the parts.

since your running a rrfpr, you may be able to just turn it up.

but not sure of the gains (in boost) at 8100rpms. 1-2lbs???

maybe bang for the buck is the seadoo centre ecu reflashed to 8400 rpms and your rude 1? no valvetrain but higher rpms???

I was thinking to do the same except I was thinking ET 68-140 Extreme or Riva ECU setup. I couldn't pass the deal up on ECU upgrade and have to say it pulls so hard and got me to 78.3 on my RXT couch yesterday. I know someone with an RXP that hit 81 with stock ECU and the ET 68-140. I think you will gain more holeshot and more overall performance with ECU setup.

James..Since you already have a RRFPR I would go with a 2 Rude...This way you can keep your RPMs down at 8100..And trust me you will have acceleration..The only other thing you will need to get is 48 Lbs injectors..

80 possible with the 2 rude and for a lot less too. Don't forget the impeller. Repitch or go with a 15/22.

If b-kit is the same as Rude 1 which is what I have read then go with the seadoo centre reflash and with a 4 blade solas you should hit 80.

I should be at 77 with a 3 blade, b-kit and reflash to 8400. Waiting on prop to come back.....I was at 74.6 all over the limiter...

yep. thats pretty much the long and the short of it. Im a recreational rider, not a racer. I want the motor to last.

    I appreciate the feedback.

My understanding is that the reflashes are not worthwhile yet- as in the people who do them are not reliable and etc.
I also really dont want to rev the ski past what it was intended from the factory. I realize it is a strong motor- but thats just my personal feeling.
