    Polaris MSX leaking water

I have a 2004 Polaris and it is leaking water every time i take it out. It just started doing this on this past weekend. I was just wondering if anyone would know what could be causing this

Welcome to the forum,A somewhat common place is the driveshaft seal,They were installed incorrectly at the factory. Back the trailer into the water a little at a time, and look for the leak. Also check all your hose clamps.

    Welcome

Click the links below for manuals, and other useful info. Especially the second link

As Kedanno says, leave the hull strapped to the trailer, back it down the ramp with the seat off. Make sure the jet pump intake is fully submerged.

Look for the leak source. A small mirror and flash light may be useful.

You can start and run the engine with the hull strapped down, and let it run for as long as needed. Some leaks only appear when the engine is running.

Some MSX hulls had an issue with water leaking in around the mounting holes for the sponsons. The Service Bulletin suggested adding silicone sealant to the bolt threads.

Smile water coming from inlet plate.

I have the same problem. on the trailer, when I fill with water from the hose, I see it pouring out the inlet grate. Time for new bearing carrier? do I need to replace the whole coupler assembly (3 pieces) too or just the rubber?

I need a cheap source for the shaft removal tool: PW--46593. anyone?

I read the tribulation that DrBones had with his MSX last year and all the "bearing spring" position threads. VERY HELPFUL.

You can get just the parts from any dealer, look at the parts diagram at babbitts or Polaris Industries and you'll get the break down.

If you want to go through the work you can also replicate the stuff from a decent bearing house.

Oh and WELCOME to the Green Hulk Forums!!!
